Our Objectives and Activities

  1. Building Community

    • Establish and strengthen relationship with Alumni 

    • Provide targeted support for Prospective Students 

    • Focus on enhancing the holistic experience of current students 

    • Expand partnership with other affinity and professional clubs especially in commemoration of our milestone year

    • Increase exposure of the Wharton School to more African countries through targeted treks

  2. WASA’S Positioning

    • Continue to contribute to UPenn through deeper involvement with Africana Center

    • Strengthen partnership with GAPSA by hosting more events to connect with Africans in other graduate schools in Penn

    • Deepen strategic partnerships with African business leaders by connecting them with resources and insights to advance their business areas

    • Focus on enhancing the public image of WASA on social media and other platforms through increased partnerships with OSL, Wharton & UPenn platforms

  3. Internal Operations

    • Restructure the WASA board by ensuring VP roles are poised towards achieving WASA’s mission

    • Increased synergy between WASA and WABF through reduction of redundancies across both clubs

    • Enhance communication between board and community members

    • Keep club members afloat on club priorities and support them to be more involved in relevant
